SWAMP WARS invades Discovery Channel

The series’ third season to premiere on a new network for three weeks


SWAMP WARS will kick-off its third season with a three week arc on Discovery Channel starting this Friday, July 27, at 10 p.m. SWAMP WARS shadows “Venom One”, which consists of Captain Jeff Fobb, Lieutenant Scott Mullin, and Lieutenant Lisa Wood.

Friday’s episode, titled “Rattlesnake in My Car”, follows the “Venom One” team as they find a rattlesnake swimming in a residential pool and another rattlesnake hiding in the depths of a woman’s car, waiting to strike.

The episode premiering on August 3, titled “Snake Bitten Kids”, highlights the dangers that poisonous snakes pose to children. The team responds to a child bitten by a coral snake and goes into a coma, and it hits home when a “Venom One” member must treat a member of their family that was bitten by a water moccasin.

The final episode to air on Discovery Channel is titled “Killers on the Loose” and will be shown on Friday, August 10, at 10 p.m. This episode features the invasion of the venomous lionfish in the waters off the coast of Florida.

New episodes of SWAMP WARS will return to their regular home, Animal Planet, on August 17.

“Venom One” is an elite group of specially trained firefighter/paramedics within MDFR. It’s the only emergency response team of its kind, and it currently holds the largest and only anti-venom bank available for public use in the United States. SWAMP WARS follows the intensity and urgency of their daily clash with nature as this courageous team takes down killer snakes, rushes against the clock to deliver anti-venoms and ultimately saves lives.
